Works great. Wish we had it years ago.

This little wire stripper is easy to use and makes quick work out of a pile of wire. For me it will pay for itself after the first trip to the scrap yard. I like how I opened the box and it was ready to go. Thank you for this product that I wish I would’ve had 20 years ago.

Inexpensive stripper works very well

Very easy to use, although I had to experiment a bit to learn how to prepare wires for stripping. Outer coating of thicker wires, with smaller colored wire inside, must be removed before using this tool. After that, works exactly as advertised. It took about five minutes to strip 10’ of wire containing 3 strands. Be careful that you don’t push the blade down too tightly – it will damage the wires.

We’ve used it for about a week. This stripper works well for smaller gauge building wiring, but has some drawbacks when it comes to larger gauges or softer insulation types. While stripping 1/0 copper THHN the wire wants to slip to the side of the blade and not cut very well. Also with the 1/0 copper, if the outer plastic is crumpled it tends to get jammed in the stripper. We are a solar company and use a lot of PV wire. PV insulation is a very soft plastic. The knife just smashes and won’t cut through the insulation unless it is set really low, this then ends up cutting the first layer of copper… not ideal. If you are stripping normal building wire this unit makes quick work of it. We stripped a bunch of #10 THNN in no time!
