OMG!!! I love this thing! Wish I had this years ago. I had 2-3 buckets of stranded and solid #10 and #12 wire, I had it all stripped out in a little over 2 hours. Best $149 I have spent this year already.

I am upset I waited so long to purchase the Stripmeister. I waisted money on cheap knockoffs that never worked properly. The Stripmeister is the type of product that makes people understand the phrase ‘you get what you pay for’ because it just works. The wire stays right in the middle of the unit every time without slipping off I don’t know how they do it but this little machine has so much thought put into it and it really shows how dedicated the people at Stripmeister are to providing a quality product to their customers. I can’t say enough about this little stripper so if you are still trying to decide on the stripmeister or a cheaper stripper just pull the trigger on the stripmeister I would have gladly paid double for this stripper. A million stars for the Stripmeister.

StripMeister is a great product what else can you say. It’s very well thought out in its design, is simple to set up and use. So far I have stripped out a bunch of 12/2 romex left overs and various size aluminum from #8 to 4/0. Very simple set it up and have at it.

The machine works very fast, no more sore hands. I used to strip all wire by hand, wish I had one of these 20yrs ago. I made all the money I paid, plus some in about 3 hrs.

Can the StripMeister Original Strip #14 AWG?

Yes, the StripMeister Original can strip #14 AWG.  In fact, it can strip down to #18 AWG and up to 250 MCM.

Can the StripMeister Original Strip #16 AWG?

Yes, the StripMeister Original can strip #16 AWG.  In fact, it can strip down to #18 AWG and up to 250 MCM. 

Can the StripMeister Original strip Cat 5, Cat 6 or telephone wire?

Cat 5, Cat 6 and telephone wire are normally 22 and 20 gauge wire making it too small for the Original wire stripper machine to strip. The smallest wire size the Original can do is #18 gauge wire.

Can the StripMeister Original Strip Speaker Wire?

The StripMeister Original can strip most speaker wire. Speaker wire can range from 10 AWG to 24 AWG. The StripMeister Original can strip as small as 18 AWG or .09″ in diameter with insulation on.

Do I have to use a specific type of drill gun to run the StripMeister Original wire cutter?

The StripMeister is the ideal wire stripper due to that fact that it will accommodate any drill gun with a min. 5/16″ drill chuck or larger making it the best wire stripper around!

Do I need any special tools for replacing parts?

Replacing parts on the StripMeister wire stripping machines is extremely easy and all you need is a 4mm Allen key.

How do I use the StripMeister Original?

How fast can I run the drill gun?

For optimum performance, we recommend that you do not exceed 350 RPM on your StripMeister copper wire stripper.

How fast can the StripMeister Original Strip Wire?

Depending on the power of the machines RPM, diameter, condition of and type of wire the following is an approximate estimate.
Running the drill at 300 RPM will on average strip 350ft per minute.
Running the drill at 150 RPM will on average strip 175ft per minute.

    I’ve been meaning to buy one of these for a few years now and I’m glad I finally did. I’ve had a few bins full of old wire from various jobs over the years that have just been sitting around so the stripping machine was very useful. It paid for itself after one use – in my area bare bright copper is going for about $3.37/lb.
    Very easy to set up and use. I have the original so I just attached my battery drill and got to work. No problem stripping every size conductor I had. I did find that some of the older style romex and rag wire was not quite as straight forward because of the difference in the cable jackets. But other than that no issues.
    I’d say this is a must have tool for any electrical company.

    I’ve been scraping wire for about 5 years now. Purchased my first machine about 1.5-2 years ago. This thing speeds up the process greatly. The strip meister is super simple to use. I’ve wore out and rebuilt my first one and I believe I could be due to do it again. I’ve purchased a second machine recently. They are easy to rebuild as all parts are available if you call customer support. Reasonable prices for the parts. The sizing block would probably be better if made out of harder material as it seems to wear n the wire kinda sticks on it not allowing it to run on the gripper wheels properly. The gripper wheels seem to not grab properly as they wear cuz the wire likes to roll off next to blade n not cut. I’ve run I’d guess 1200-1500 pounds of smaller gauge wire before my first rebuild and I’d guess I’m at about the same for this rebuild coming. This being said I’m sure the number of feet run through it would be in the thousands. Great little machine and s great time save. I highly recommend getting one if scrapping wire is something your doing by hand n a knife.

    It took me about 10 minutes to do adjustment to stip #12 wire. After that it is Awesome!!!!! So far not one complaint. Love it. Worth every penny plus!!!!

    Having tried other problematic wire strippers I ordered this Stripmeister with a degree of skepticism….However I am completely excited with the quality, ease of set up between wire gauges, and performance of this product! Within five minutes of unpacking this stripper I mastered the operation and put it to use on both solid and stranded 14, 12, 10, and 6 AWG pile of wire that I was ready to scrap at lower insulated wire pricing. It worked quickly a flawlessly to strip the outer jacket of romex and then the individual conductors. I am very pleased to now with little effort be able to reap the highest salvage price for all of my scrap wire. This will pay for itself in one trip to the salvage yard!
