OMG!!! I love this thing! Wish I had this years ago. I had 2-3 buckets of stranded and solid #10 and #12 wire, I had it all stripped out in a little over 2 hours. Best $149 I have spent this year already.

I am upset I waited so long to purchase the Stripmeister. I waisted money on cheap knockoffs that never worked properly. The Stripmeister is the type of product that makes people understand the phrase ‘you get what you pay for’ because it just works. The wire stays right in the middle of the unit every time without slipping off I don’t know how they do it but this little machine has so much thought put into it and it really shows how dedicated the people at Stripmeister are to providing a quality product to their customers. I can’t say enough about this little stripper so if you are still trying to decide on the stripmeister or a cheaper stripper just pull the trigger on the stripmeister I would have gladly paid double for this stripper. A million stars for the Stripmeister.

Very well made and durable. Easy to use ( I figured it out very quickly even without watching the videos). Stripped 16 ga up to 3/0 with no problems. StripMeister is a great product what else can you say. It’s very well thought out in its design, is simple to set up and use. So far I have stripped out a bunch of 12/2 romex left overs and various size aluminum from #8 to 4/0. Very simple set it up and have at it.

The machine works very fast, no more sore hands. I used to strip all wire by hand, wish I had one of these 20yrs ago. I made all the money I paid, plus some in about 3 hrs.

Can the StripMeister Original Strip #14 AWG?

Yes, the StripMeister Original can strip #14 AWG.  In fact, it can strip down to #18 AWG and up to 250 MCM.

Can the StripMeister Original Strip #16 AWG?

Yes, the StripMeister Original can strip #16 AWG.  In fact, it can strip down to #18 AWG and up to 250 MCM. 

Can the StripMeister Original strip Cat 5, Cat 6 or telephone wire?

Cat 5, Cat 6 and telephone wire are normally 22 and 20 gauge wire making it too small for the Original wire stripper machine to strip. The smallest wire size the Original can do is #18 gauge wire.

Can the StripMeister Original Strip Speaker Wire?

The StripMeister Original can strip most speaker wire. Speaker wire can range from 10 AWG to 24 AWG. The StripMeister Original can strip as small as 18 AWG or .09″ in diameter with insulation on.

Do I have to use a specific type of drill gun to run the StripMeister Original wire cutter?

The StripMeister is the ideal wire stripper due to that fact that it will accommodate any drill gun with a min. 5/16″ drill chuck or larger making it the best wire stripper around!

Do I need any special tools for replacing parts?

Replacing parts on the StripMeister wire stripping machines is extremely easy and all you need is a 4mm Allen key.

How do I use the StripMeister Original?

How fast can I run the drill gun?

For optimum performance, we recommend that you do not exceed 350 RPM on your StripMeister copper wire stripper.

How fast can the StripMeister Original Strip Wire?

Depending on the power of the machines RPM, diameter, condition of and type of wire the following is an approximate estimate.
Running the drill at 300 RPM will on average strip 350ft per minute.
Running the drill at 150 RPM will on average strip 175ft per minute.

    Retired and Bored! Years ago working in construction,I would always save scrap wood. Built over 300 hundred picnic tables.Compressors electrical motors, Last month I scraped out an electric 24-volt wheelchair, after the ladies passed here it sat next to the dumpster no one would take.I love to tinker, but cutting and stripping wire was too dangerous, one rather deep cut told me there had to be a better way.I tried fixed blade but insulation would push to the side very frustrating so I went online and kept researching various products, by now we had moved in with our daughter and her husband, and there were broken fans, chewed-up power cords, and broken tools. So with their permission and the help from my second-generation Wire Stripper Meister in a few days, I had 3-gallon bags full of copper.I run my drill slowly, and keep in mind that a 20-degree pitch is needed. My Daughter works in an office where they build computer back-up. I am hoping to secure their recycling leftovers so that I can give back to my charities Red Cloud Missions Indian schools and Mike Evans Jerusalem Prayer Network Bringing Aid and food to Ukraine and believe me Russia and China would love to see our nation fall, Great Product I love to watch as the wire is pulled thru, Money well spent!!

    I was using a fixed blade exacto knife, very time consuming and dreaded it. Very small learning curve to use the SM and was stripping more wire in 30 minutes than I would do in a couple of weeks. Just spend the money, it will pay for itself.

    It’s slightly a pain going from different sizes. And on stranded ,if it’s too tight ,it makes horrible copper needles. But overall ,I’m glad that I purchased one.

    Really an enjoyable experience. It is built well and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Adjustment is easy, the blade is sharp, and the feeder wheels are nicely indented. If you sort your wire by gauge, you will need minimal adjustment and you will fly through wire. Highly recommend.
