Excellent well build machine. I borrowed a friends drill powered Strip Meister and was impressed but this machine is in a different league. Far faster, pulls the wire through without effort even when kinked and the variable speed simplifies set up. This is a tool and as such it requires some patience to set the unit up. It works best when the machine is set to cut into the minimum of the copper wire. Expecting it to power through different gauge wire without adjusting the cutter will give poor results and stress the machine. Separate your wire by gauge and use small pieces to set the cut before running longer runs and you will be impressed by the performance. I wouldn’t call stripping wire fun by any stretch of the imagination but this gives you the result you want for stripping bright wire and certainly saves the environment compared to the bonfire method more commonly used for lesser grade scrapping of wire.

This machine is awesome, and well worth the investment. We go through thousands of feet of 1/0 welding cable each year, and the Strip-Meister is helping us immensely to streamline our cable recycling process. Set up is fast and simple, but make sure you pay extra attention to any tape on your cable that might hinder the cable feeding through whatever fitting you are using. Other than that, enjoy the time and money saved, and happy stripping!!

I was a a bit of a struggle at first but once I got it figured out it worked great. I did find that with the weaved wire you have to be precise or you end up with a lot of short razor sharp pieces .Gloves are a must .

Once I dialed in on the small stranded and quit bleeding it was great. Does grab the clear plastic on the outside of the insulation a bit but is easily cleaned out. It’s a great job for my young son and he loves working in the shop with his old man. Makin money together
